The Fort Baker Leadership Summits, Spring 2009
CREATING A FRAMEWORK FOR POLICY MAKING IN COMPLEX AND UNCERTAIN TIMES
(download complete info at bottom of page)
The Fort Baker Leadership Summits will bring together 40 leaders from business, government, and the nonprofit sector. Traditional and emerging leaders will tackle the barriers to progress that have frustrated us for far too long. Pressures are increasing from all directions; many people feel immobilized by the sheer complexity of the issues.
As committed citizens, 40 leaders will participate in three summits using a new generation of systemic methods and tools, they will be working to:
1) assess the resilience of our vulnerable, interdependent systems
2) create a vision for California’s sustainable future
3) develop principles to guide our decision making
4) generate integrated indicators that help us all figure out if we’re actually making progress.
The Fort Baker Leadership Summits are convened by WELL Network, which advocates integrated or “green planning” approaches to sustainability. The Institute at the Golden Gate and Dominican University of California are partners with WELL Network for the summits.
By invitation: leaders commit to all three summits
